The Economic Crime Authority prevents, detects, interrupts, investigates, and prosecutes economic crimes. Our 800 employees have various competencies and professional roles, such as prosecutors, police officers, economic crime investigators, administrators, and other specialists, all working together against economic crime. Workplace
At the Economic Crime Authority in Malmö, there are two economic crime chambers and a police operational unit. We are now looking for an administrator with responsibility for seized property for the second economic crime chamber.
Job Responsibilities
You will work independently but also in a team with other administrators and various professional groups in the chamber. As part of the investigative work, seized property is often handled, which includes both administration and some physical work. Your main task is to have overall responsibility for seized property but also to provide support and service to the economic crime chambers and the volume crime function in their operations.
Your tasks include:
- Conducting searches in several IT systems, handling incoming seizures and storage, property release, and documenting the actions taken in connection with this.
- Providing administrative support to prosecutors, police officers, civilian investigators, etc., during the course of a case. This involves everything from making inquiries in registers and registering new cases to actively participating in case meetings and, for example, obtaining extracts and other materials and preparing summons for hearings.
- Working in the agency's diary system and other IT support, so you should feel comfortable handling several different internal programs. General office tasks such as email and mail handling are also part of the daily routine.
- Being the outward contact in many contexts and always providing good service to the public, authorities, and others within the justice system, primarily via phone and email.
Requirements
We are looking for someone who has:
- Completed high school education
- At least two years of experience within the last five years in administrative tasks that the Economic Crime Authority deems relevant
- Good computer skills and is an experienced user of the Microsoft Office suite
- Good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form
- Driver's license (B)
It is advantageous if you also have:
- Experience in handling seizures
- Completed police training for seizure handlers
- Experience working as an administrator within the justice system or other legal activities
- Experience in administrative work in a government agency
- Experience working with IT programs Cåbra or DurTvå
- Post-secondary studies from a college or university in a relevant field such as administration, IT, economics, or law, e.g., paralegal training
